Leadership Team

Mark Bollin, President

Mark guides the leadership team in its mission to manufacture top-quality labels for distributors, retailers, and other manufacturers and to find the best label products and merchandising solutions for each situation. He and his team are respected leaders in the industry and have proven to be reliable manufacturers who deliver excellent custom and stock labels in a timely fashion. 

During his 40 years at Bollin Label Systems, Mark has directed all areas of the business. He oversees the printing and production processes and spearheaded the purchase of Esko Artwork, the finest pre-press system in the print industry. This — combined with the company’s flexographic print technologies — produces the highest quality of labels. (Bollin Label Systems was named one of the "Top 100 Manufacturers" of printed products by Print Professional Magazine, October 2010.)

Mark supports the Toledo community in a number of ways, serving on several committees and boards, including past president and board of directors of the East Toledo Family Center and former advisory board member of the East Toledo Senior Center. He enjoys golf and practices tirelessly to improve his short game.

Chris Bollin Younkman, Vice President

Chris has worked in every department and taken on almost every role at Bollin Label Systems at one time or another. "I've done just about everything but run a press!"

Chris has directed sales, inventory management, shipping, accounting, human resources, and administration. In recent years, she has focused on order filling to ensure customers get what they want, when they want it. She has been instrumental in creating cost savings — passed on to customers — by staging orders, resulting in greater efficiency in the distribution and shipping processes. This became possible when the company built its 22,000 square-foot warehouse in 2005. In addition to order processing and warehouse management, Chris oversees the Customer Resource Group.

As a business owner her work never ends, but Chris manages to escape to the beach in Treasure Island, Florida a few times a year to rejuvenate. More than anything else, she and her husband enjoy spoiling their granddaughter, Payton.

Mark Mattingly, Director of Sales and Marketing

Mark has directed the company's marketing efforts for 15 years and also more recently sales, focusing on developing relationships with distributors and providing assistance to their sales teams. His 30-plus years in the label business include production and graphics. This knowledge, along with his sales and marketing expertise, has been beneficial in many facets of the business. He has been instrumental in product expansions and in the development of FreshDate Labels, the company’s division of food safety labels designed for the food and restaurant industries.

Mark, who earned his bachelor's degree in microbiology from Bowling Green State University, says he's still a "science geek" and enjoys the application of scientific technologies in his work. When not at the office, Mark and his wife enjoy spending time with their four grown children who all live within a three-hour radius of "home."

Jeff Hierholzer, Controller

Jeff directs three major areas: accounting, information technology, and human resources. In his 18 years with the company, Jeff has served as project manger for numerous initiatives and continually drives technological enhancements for the computer server and desktop operating systems. Currently, he is implementing a new accounting program for greater efficiency.

Jeff received his M.B.A. from the University of Heidelberg (Tiffin, OH) and his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Toledo. His "second career" is coaching; he has coached youth basketball, soccer and baseball for more than 15 years for his three children.
